Terms of Use

Effective Date: September 1, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of kingcroftlaw.com and any associated pages (the “Site”), operated by Kingcroft Law APC (“Kingcroft,” the “Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1.No Attorney-Client Relationship

Your access to or use of the Site, including submitting information through any form or contacting the Firm through the Site, does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the Firm. An attorney-client relationship is formed only upon the execution of a written engagement agreement signed by the Firm. Until then, the Firm owes you no duty and undertakes no obligation with respect to any matter.

2.No Legal Advice

The content on the Site, including any articles, guides, descriptions of practice areas, and interactive features, is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax, financial, or other professional advice. The information may not reflect the most current legal developments and may not apply to your particular circumstances. You should not act or refrain from acting on the basis of any content on the Site without seeking advice from a licensed attorney in the relevant jurisdiction.

3.No Confidential or Privileged Communications

Do not send the Firm confidential or sensitive information through the Site or by email until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing and you have been authorized to do so. Information you transmit to the Firm through the Site is not confidential or privileged, may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege or the work-product doctrine, and will not create any duty on the part of the Firm. Transmitting information to the Firm does not preclude the Firm from representing a party adverse to you.

4.Informational Tools and Estimates

Any calculators, estimators, or other interactive tools made available on the Site produce general estimates for informational purposes only, are based on assumptions and on information you provide, and do not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice or an opinion of the Firm. Results should not be relied upon and should be independently verified with a qualified professional.

5.Intellectual Property

The Site and its contents, including text, graphics, logos, and the “Kingcroft” name and marks, are owned by or licensed to the Firm and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any portion of the Site without the Firm’s prior written consent.

6.Third-Party Links and Content

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and resources provided for convenience only. The Firm does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and access to them is at your own risk.

7.Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of the Site or its content. The Firm does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm and its owners, attorneys, and personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Site or its content, whether based in contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9.Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Firm and its owners, attorneys, and personnel from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

10.Attorney Advertising

The Site may be considered attorney advertising under the rules of certain jurisdictions. The Firm’s attorneys are licensed to practice law in California. Nothing on the Site is a promise or guarantee of results, and prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

11.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

12.Venue

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13.Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” above indicates when these Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Site after revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of them.

14.Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15.Waiver

No waiver of any provision of these Terms will be deemed a further or continuing waiver of that provision or any other provision, and the Firm’s failure to assert any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.

16.Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Firm regarding your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.

Kingcroft Law APC is a professional law corporation organized under the laws of the State of California.

We are licensed to practice law in California only. We structure US-side legal and tax matters for cross-border US–Asia families and businesses, and coordinate with local counsel abroad; we do not advise on the law of jurisdictions in which we are not admitted.

This website is attorney advertising. It is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice, nor does it create an attorney-client relationship. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

Kingcroft Law APC may use AI-based tools and third-party vendors under the direction of its attorneys to assist in analyzing tax law and preparing documents; such tools act as agents of the firm and every recommendation is reviewed by a licensed attorney.
